Third Quarter Reading for 2011

As I am reading my way through the year 2011, I find that I am choosing books that have peaked my interest in various ways: book jackets that have caught my eye at the library; book titles that have caught my eye at the library; books that have collected dust on my shelves that I have been dying to read for a while (so why are they collecting dust?); recommendations from friends and family; and recommendations from publications reviewing books. I have found much pleasure in most of what I've read this year!
